Creating an Upgrade from a CCF File

Even though you are either missing the OEM remote or you don’t have a learning remote, there is still one final place for you to look for information to help you create an upgrade.

The website, www.remotecentral.com, has a number of upgrade files for the Pronto brand of remotes.  Pronto remotes are not JP1 compatible.  However, it is possible to convert an existing Pronto upgrade file to a format that you can use to create an upgrade for your JP1 compatible remote.

The first step is to look on the Remote Central website for a Pronto upgrade file (called Component Configuration Files).

Were there any Pronto CCF upgrade files for the device you wish to control?

Yes, I was able to find one or more CCF files that look like they could work for my remote.

No, I was not able to find any CCF files that look like they would work for my remote.
