IR uses a unique internal “signature” to identify the type of remote that was downloaded. It then uses this “signature” to select a remote-specific RDF file, which identifies the remote and defines how that remote is configured. All of the RDF files should be located in the same directory as the IR.EXE program executable. If they are not in the same directory, IR will not find the correct RDF file with the remote configuration information.
