Although there a number of RDF files on your system, there is not an RDF file for your specific remote. This is probably because your remote is a very new remote or a very obscure remote that no one else has tried to program before.
It is possible, however, that someone has created a new RDF file for your remote and you simply need to download it. First, make sure you are using the most recent version of IR. If you are not using the more recent version of IR, it is possible that new RDF files are included in the most recent version that you do not have. If you need to upgrade, download the most recent version of IR from the “2. Tools” folder in the Files section of the JP1 Users Group. This section is included in the reference links below. Once you have upgraded, try another download and see if that resolved your problem.
If you are using the most recent version of IR and you are still having problems, it is possible that someone created a new RDF file for your remote after the most recent version of IR was packaged. These ultra-new RDF files are stored in the RDF Files directory in the Files section of the JP1 Users Group. This section is included in the reference links below. Look in the directory and see if there is a file available for your remote. If there is, download the file and place it in the same directory as the IR.exe executable. Restart IR and perform the download from your remote again. If the RDF file is for your remote, IR should now correctly identify your remote.
Was IR able to identify your remote after updating your RDF files?
Yes, IR is now able to identify my remote.
