My
Garden
There are seeds of my dreams planted
within this garden;
Planted many years ago.
The seeds I planted then were trivial and
as flighty as my youth.
These were my wildflowers full of the
vibrant colors and passions of my
youthful dreams. Like weeds they grew and
flourished as did I.
Now my garden is full of many different
blooms.
From many years of dreaming this garden
grew.
Each flower represents something in my
life.
There along the wall my climbing roses
grow. These are the flowers of my passion
and unending love.
Along the sunny walk way the
Forget-Me-Knots are in full bloom.
Reminding me always of friendships tried
and true.
The daises in their simplicity bend with
the wind. Reminding me that life is only
as complicated as I make it.
Wild Honeysuckle crawls along the fence,
It' s beautiful fragrance there to remind
me that life can be sweet.
Now as the sun is setting in my garden,
Gentle breezes blend the many fragrances
into one.
Life is but a mixture of our dreams,
hopes and longings.
Our accomplishments and our failures.
Now I'm trying to learn how to dream
again. Trying to find my way back to
life.
I want to experience life again.
To laugh, to hope. And yes, even to cry.
