It's been three weeks and I've been enjoying riding my new recumbent, a Bacchetta Corsa.  I've logged a bit over 350 miles so far and my legs are learning hoe to pedal a 'bent.  Interestingly, I thought pedalling was pedalling, but recumbents use different muscle groups.  I'm currently a bit slower than I was on my diamond frame bike, but it's coming, and I don't have ANY lower back, neck, or hand soreness after a ride.  Plus no saddle sores!

- After another sore back ending ride, my wife and I finally decided it was time for me to forego the traditional diamond frame bicycle for a high wheeled racing recumbent.  We ordered a Bacchetta Corsa, which is a very nice 'bent that is designed not only for long distance comfort, but for long distance riding.  Bicycle number seven should be arriving shortly.  Down side, is the Santana Sovereign tandem will be on the for sale page.  The up side, is I am going to hang on to my Litespeed Classic for a little while longer.

04/02/2006 - I've been riding indoors most of the winter and trying to get my long distance legs back.  I've met with a bit less success than I had hoped.  Serveral pulled and strained muscles in my lower back continue to pester me on rides over 50 miles.  This is not good, and I don't feel confident in an early spring brevet season.
