11.15.02  i want one of those green canvas knapsacks they had in the Spanish civil war.  lee says he knew a girl in high school that had one from the red army that she bought in new york.  i never knew anyone that cool in high school.  i looked for one online, but to no avail.  my grandfather has some connection to the Spanish civil war but it is not clear to me. but so many of thsoe kinds of things are a mystery.
