I was born in Kantvik of Kirkkonummi in August 1999 to u-litter of kennel
Side-Line's.
I have, according to my memory, 5 siblings, but I have not seen my
brothers and sisters since I left the kennel. So if you (my siblings) find your
way to this site, mail my mom.
Mom and dad were thinking of getting me
already whole summer, until they got me late in the fall.
To mom, I was the first own dog, but dad had
already had many dogs, like Niko the Golden Retviever, Otto the English Setter
and Dimi the mutt (maltese-beagle-terrier), all these when he still lived in
Finnish Lapland. At first they tried to reserve a salt & pepper-coloured
minischnauzer, bah, but because we were just born, they decided to reserve me :)
So they came to take me home to Anjalankoski
in the, very rainy, last day of August -99. Because they didn't own a car, they
got mom's cousin Tero, to drive them to Kantvik. (Tero is just another hilarious
guy, who is one of the best human buddies I have...and when I meet him I just go
nuts :))
Back to the point, when I now see the basket,
in which they carried me to home, I can help myself and start to laugh. Have I
really been such a little rat-like midget like they say I have been?
When they saw me first time, they named me
Poser...I didn't let them take any pictures of my siblings (because they were
there for ME!), and I cut in front of them all the time.
So, every picture taken in kennel has me in
the front and others in the background :)

My new home was in a really fun place, a
little rowhouse apartment near forest.
And we had nice neighbours, Ana the
Rottweiler and her owner Jussi (mom's brother)
At first "Ansku" was in my eyes big and scary, a real giant, who gnarled always
when I got too close of her ears with my sharp needle-like teeth, but when I
started to gain size Ana started to feel more dog, less giant. :)
While you are small, you must learn how to
duck and dodge, when over 20 kilograms heavier thing runs at you.
I quickly found out, that the best way
to avoid dying was to get prone very fast before collapse.
Once we had a little competition, when Ana
was staying at our place one night, and the prize was a place in mom's lap. And
what could I do, when I'm much lighter than she is?
So I lost the competition and I had to sleep
in dad's lap.
Mom said that she would had taken me to her
lap, if it would had been her decision...that's because she thought she would
collapse under the weight of Ana.
Granddaddy and Hulikaani also lived near us,
when we lived in Kirkkovuori.
Old Hulikaani was my mentor in the noble art
of sniffing around and under his teaching I learned this art well...which
irritates my mom and dad.
That's because since I've learned to sniff
ALL the scents what my nose can find. And to smell all these scents I have to
stop walking and put my "brakes" on.
I think that Hulikaani is starting to get
old, because he doesn't care anything about me trying to be as irritating as I
can be. Still I know how to get a good howl out of him...that happens when I get
a good bite on his large ears :)
Once when we were on a walk (I free as a bird, Hulikaani on Jukka's leach) I got
to practise my "attacking lion"-jump. I climbed up to a stump on the side of the
path and waited a while ambushing...BANZAI!
I jumped straight on the top of Hulikaani.
