I never became a show-dog (and that's one reason my human
familymembers took me), but still I've been around few match shows, just for
mom's amusement and I must admit that I like them as well. And they are also a
good way to meet a lot of strange dogs. My success in these shows are variable,
sometimes I don't like judges (I've snarled and growled at couple of them), but
still I have one rosette for a fourth place in red ribbon group. Some of these
result my mom has written up.
My first m atch
show was in April 8th 2000 at the parking lot of Anjalankoski city hall.
Cold and windy day got me so nervous and excited that my fur was
covered in scurf. After I recovered from the panic, I realised that "this is not
so bad after all". The result from my first "dog show" was a blue ribbon and the
second place in blue ribbon group final.
Not bad for a rookie, eh :)
Next match show was the highest point of my "showdog career".
At mother's day, the traditional match show at the Anjala's
agricultural college brought me my first rosette. The good old judge liked me a
lot, although he complained little about my restlessness (I'll be damned, if I
just stand still when ther e
are lots of gorgeous girlies around and lots of interesting smells catch my
nose).
Anyway I managed to get into red ribbon group, went all the way
to the finals and got the fourth place.
Mom was enthusiastic about the ribbon and the rosette, I was
enthusiastic about the chewing bones, yummy!

At Kuusankoski 6th June 2000, I was again in another match show,
this time with mom's cousin, Karoliina. We appeared in "child and dog"-group and
there I managed to get in fact my second rosette (fourth place again), but I
made a trade with Karo and kept the prize cookies :) That's because the rosette
belongs also to my good presenter Karoliina. Mom started to think about the
strange fact that I behave myself in the show ring while Karoliina is
around...ahum, not true :)
