Woof!
I am 2 years old minischnauzer-boy Jose (I
got named by midfielder Janne "Jose" Lindberg of Myllykosken Pallo soccer team).
The first sunrise I saw in Kantvik, Kirkkonummi and after that I've lived in a
couple of cities here in Finland. Nowadays I live in Turku.
Not only a wayfarer-dog in Finland, my roots
come also from distant places. My sire (Only You v.d. Spikke) lives in Holland
and my dame (Side-Line's Nightmare) has also foreign genes...according to my
memory these roots go even to the United States.
These wayfarer-genes have put me on the road
too, althought inside Finland's borders and my human parents travelling with me.
I was only 6 months old, when I took my first trip in aeroplane, when we flew to
the northern Finland, the land of Santa Claus. There I met a lot of nice (human)
relatives and there's lot of fun just hanging around while there's always
somebody who cuddles or scratches :)
The winter 2000-2001 we lived with mom in
Savonlinna and these days I learned how to travel in train. I mean there were a
lot of trip from Savonlinna to Anjalankoski. Unfortunately when I moved to
Turku, I was forced to leave my girlfriend Donna behind (She was multibreeded
labrador-collie), who I still miss, howling at the fullmoon in lonely nights.
Anjalankoski was the first place where I
lived with mom and dad. There still lives a bunch of human relatives and a lot
of my dogfriends. Among other, Ana the rottweiler (owned by my mom's brother),
Elli the chow chow (owned by my mom's cousins, the other cousins own chow chow
Salli too, but we don't like each other so much) and of course my mighty mentor,
Hulikaani the basset hound (Bastante Huligan), from whom I've learned the noble
art of sniffing around. You can find the picture of good old Hulikaani at my
galleries.
My favourite place in our new home in Turku
is the french balcony doorway, from which I can see far, far away. Therefore I
spend many hours per day waiting mom and dad to come home (and even after
that...you must be aware of what happens around). And could you find a nicer
place to lie than this, especially when the sun is shining? Mom usually says
that I'm not a dog, my manners are so strange. The best way to sleep is to lie
on my back (and I lie on my back even if there's cold, althought professionals
say that we dogs sleep on our backs only when there's too hot) and the best
sleeping place is always near mom. I could be lying on rocks or broken glass,
but if it's near mom it is a good place to sleep. I wonder why she usually tries
to push me out of bed at nights when I try to find a perfect spot near pillow.
Luckily for me, they sleep so soundly that I always manage to find my way near
them. :)
