Josai Volunteer Club

Mexico Fundraiser
Josai Volunteer Club has worked extremely hard this month! The students have started various projects, all geared towards helping the hurricane victims in Mexico. The three projects are:

1. Collecting clothes, toiletries, paper, pencils, stickers, and any other material items that students donate. These items will be shipped to Mexico to help replace the material goods lost during hurricane Isidoro.

2. Collecting non-perishable food items, such as Ramen, soup packages, crackers and other goods to be shipped overseas. The students have learned that many families in Mexico rely heavily on agriculture, and after the hurricane, many farms were washed away, leaving them without food or a source of income.

3.
Fundraising to help pay for the shipping expenses. The students are collecting five Yen coins on short strings. The class that collects the most yen will have their picture sent along with the goods to Mexico. Each week during lunchtime, the volunteer students speak to their classmates about volunteer projects and collect coins.
Josai students pose for a quick photo while working on the JVC logo and stringing coins together.
