The recent Hurricane Isidoro left the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico in a disastrous state. Houses were destroyed, crops were swept away, and flooding severely damaged the infrastructure - leaving various cities without electricity or driveable roads.
Josai students are working on a volunteer project to collect donations within their junior high school to help the Mexican families suffering from the recent hurricane Isidoro. Students learned about Mexican culture, the effects of the hurricane, and the current situation of many families who depended on their crops as a source of income and food. Combining their efforts, students will be able to send a box of needed supplies directly to the Yucatan peninsula, where it will be dispersed among the needy families.
Josai volunteers plan to make a sign asking for donations to help those in need. ( Chiaki, Miho, Megumi and Mio )
