The show was set in the Isle of Wight. Jon played a teacher called Paul Martin. Paul was mad on Science, and trying to build a amatur rocket with the help of his best mate Frank.

He was engaged to another teacher named Jackie. 3 weeks before his weding his childhood sweetheart arrives back home. At first he doesn't want to know Annie, but soon it is obvious he still has feelings for her. Especially when they share a kiss, even though Paul pretends that nothing happend.

On the night before the wedding he stands outside Annie's window telling her that he loves her, and not realising that her boyfriend Ben is there as well.

The next day Paul is impatiently waiting for Annie to come and tell him what she feels. After realising that Frank has seen Annie and told her not to be Paul, he storms of to the rocket workshop to cool down. There he is knocked unconscious by a dodgy aplicience. He was a dream where has has to decide which woman he wants the most. Then he wakes up, and starts getting ready for the wedding

In the middle of the cermony, Jackie decides she can't go through with it. She says recently she has been so busy trying to keep Paul, she couldn't see that she was changing as well. Paul is outside the church wondering what to do, when he bumps into Annie who has just dumped her boyfrend.
