the bride |
What can I say about my bride? Well let’s
see…
I would describe Karen as an attractive woman.
She always caught my attention from the first time we met during
one of our trainings with CCC. From that nerdy, snobbish young lady
she has evolved into a more charming woman that she is now. Her
vanity and elaborate cosmetics speaks for itself, though. But I
liked it the way she compose herself. I was quite mesmerized, and
am still specially (just imagine) every time I tag along those girly
stuffs. But you see, there is more to her external appearance which
I am most dumbfounded because without such I might probably be in
search.
I find her very caring, loving, “malambing,”
thoughtful, transparent and intelligent. She speaks her mind well
and a very trustworthy person too. At times, she can be so upfront
to her reasoning and end I up flabbergasted. Hmm…let me count
mine..hehe.. Sometimes, like every lady, she has her share of mood
swings, especially before, during and after her period (that’s
why there is PMS-Pre-Menstrual Syndrome in the world). “Minsan,
ang hirap i-spell ang kanyang sinasabi.” She would be quite
so paradoxical with her intensions. For example, her “NO”
would mean “YES” and vice versa. “Read between
the lines, honey” is one of her famous strategy to tell me
what she wants without being too detailed and obvious.
Her mood swings and other traits endear me more
to her. The more I get to love her for who she is and who she will
become. I find it more meaningful, each time I get to understand
her-- I get to know myself. And isn’t that quite fun and exciting
way of discovering oneself? As an architect the best way to describe
our relationship is not the perspective appearance and how it is
constantly being “redesigned and restructured” but how
it is rooted to the ground that stems out the strength and foundation
of our love.
