About the Designer,
Jo Morphew

As a Nebraska farm girl, Jo began her sewing career in a local 4-H club, learning the
basics there, and discovering her interest in sewing. From sewing school outfits to prom
& bridesmaid dresses for herself, her family and friends, she continued over the years
with sewing projects to include clothes for herself, her husband and 4 children, craft
projects, curtains for her home, etc.

Sewing has always been a part of Jo's almost daily life, worked in around church activities
(she is the music director at her church), her kids' activities, and a cleaning business.

Now that her kids are grown, her sewing has turned more to a business. One bridesmaid
dress has turned into a set of dresses for an entire wedding party. Although she still enjoys
projects like making children's outfits, her interest was sparked in a new direction when she
began sewing for her friends' daughters who were vying for area Rodeo Queen titles.

A highlight of her sewing career was when she traveled to Las Vegas in December of 2004
to attend the Miss Rodeo America Pageant where Miss Rodeo Nebraska sported several
of the outfits Jo had sewn.

Jo, is the granddaughter of Nebraska Historian and author Nellie Snyder Yost,
and great granddaughter of nationally famed quilter Grace Snyder.
Jo is proud of her Nebraska heritage.
