WEEK 9
N.C. State (12), (9) at Clemson (U) , (36) Final Score: N.C. State, 38-6
Harmon: N.C. State, 23-20 11.2 points
CFN: N.C. State, 31-27 10.2 points

Joe: N.C. State, 27-24 10.6 points
N.C. State, here it is.  You got past the fluffy outside layer of your schedule.  Now you're into the beef.  Like a corndog.  At Clemson, Georgia Tech, at Maryland, at Virginia, and Florida State.  The Pack has been impressive thus far, but the only real team they have played is at Texas Tech (which is an accomplishment in itself).  Clemson has played to the end with a very good Georgia team, and matched up with a very good Florida State team, except for special teams play.  They definitely have the skill to pull out the upset here, with Simmons being a wildcard.  I would have picked them, were it not for State's solid secondary and linebacker corps.  This game is the beginning of Rivers' real Heisman run.  When N.C. State comes to get rocked by Maryland, Rivers could be atop the Heisman Watch.  Football!!

Philip Rivers was considered one of the best qbs in the east last year, and hes already beating himself in every category compared to last year..hes in for one sick combine visiting offseason. Hell be a first or second round pick, and he will pick Clemson apart as well!

Phil: Clemson, 29-24 3.0 points
I thought Clemson would win. Ouch.

Georgia (5), (5) at Kentucky (37), (U) Final Score: Georgia, 52-24
Harmon: Georgia, 21-20 8.4 points
CFN: Georgia, 24-20 9.6 points

Joe: Georgia, 28-21 11.0 points
JOWJAH!!!!!!!  They and LSU sit atop the SEC, a level ahead of everyone else.  Jowjah has been using that two QB thing a little bit, which I think must be hard on the QBs to stay sharp, but whatever.  It's working, and it has to be tough to prepare for that, since the two QBs are so contrasting.  If I was Georgia, I'd play games with the other team, and have both QBs go to the huddle, and then one run off the field and a receiver run on, so the other team can't put in their faster LBs against the faster QB, or the better pass-cover LBs against the pocket guy.  Not only that, but it'd be funny to do.

G: Georgia, 28-14 13.4 points
UGA works UK simple as thatHOLLA!

Phil: Georgia, 36-29 12.6 points
The fattest QB ever, Jared Lorenzen, has performed admirably for the Wildcats this year. They could pull off the upset. I keep expecting Georgia to slip up, but something tells me they survive another week. What that something is, I don't know.

Iowa State (17), (18) at Texas (7), (7) Final Score: Texas, 21-10
Harmon: Texas, 29-21 17.2 points
CFN: Texas, 30-20 17.8 points

Joe: Texas, 31-21 17.6 points
Iowa State won't lose this one by 46.  Texas' defense is good, but Oklahoma's speed is on another level.  I hope Seneca bounces back hard, because I'd like to see him ato pthe Heisman voting at the end.  I think Wallace's skills played right into Oklahoma's hands.  Even if Texas had similar strengths, it's not enough to come close to what Oklahoma did.  I have a point I'm trying to make about Oklahoma being past a certain level of "too good for Seneca", but I can't quite put it into words, so I'm just gonna shut up.

G: Texas, 38-24 16.0 points
Ooh good game. Seneca is still bout it, even after a SHITTY game last week, man he didnt do well at all last week. But thas ok, he got it this week, but his D is gonna have to help him like they didnt help him so far this year.

Phil: Texas, 28-14 18.0 points
How will Seneca Wallace respond after a terrible game against OU? Not well, methinks. His Heisman hopes will go down the drain here, sadly. Stupid Longhorns.

Alabama (19), (U) at Tennessee (16), (15) Final Score: Alabama, 34-14
Harmon: Tennessee, 20-19 7.8 points
CFN: Alabama, 23-20 14.4 points

Joe: Alabama, 21-14 14.8 points
Bama.....Man are they good!  Like chicken cordon bleu!  It's a shame they're ineligible, but that almost makes it more fun to watch them romp.  Tennessee is unexpectedly bad.  They're not bad, but they're a lot worse than anyone thought they'd be.  Look for Cedric Benson's step mother, Cedric Houston to be the only source of offense on this one.  Not "the future".  That homo.  Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.  About drugs.  Unbelievable.

G: Alabama, 17-14 13.2 points
This will be one of those defensive games that will leave the Tennessees all alone on their home terf. Bama may play real close and then slip ahead in the final minutes to make Tennessee just wanna kill themselves.should be fun to watch

Phil: Alabama, 27-17 16.6 points
There is turmoil in Tennessee, as QBs are hurt and WRs are suggesting they should get QB play. Mr. Kelley Washington, of course. 'Bama has played very well for a team under heavy probation, and if it wasn't for Willingham, Dennis Franchione might be the coach of the year. Alas. He'll get a big road win on this day.
