Showcase Picks:
Washington (11), (9) at Michigan (13), (10) Saturday 12:00 PM ET Final Score: Michigan, 31-29

UM RB Chris Perry ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns while his counterpart for Washington ran for 93 yards and two scores on 29 tough carries.

Notre Dame (43), (42) at Maryland (21), (20) Saturday 8:00 PM ET Final Score: Notre Dame, 22-0
It wasn't pretty, but it was a work of art to Irish fans looking for a return to beating name teams and beating them badly. Nick Setta hit five field goals as the Irish were able to move the ball amassing 357 yards, but couldn't punch it in the end zone. Vontez Duff returned a punt for a 3rd quarter TD while the Irish D held Maryland to 23 yards rushing

LSU (14), (14) at Virginia Tech (16), (16) Sunday Sunday 2:30 PM
ET Final: Virginia Tech, 26-8
Lee Suggs and Kevin Jones combined to run for 160 yards and three touchdowns while the Hokie defense clamped down on the LSU offense only allowing 198 total yards of offense and a late LaBrandon Toefield touchdown. All game long, LSU had problems with Tech's punt block team giving the Hokies good field position to take advantage of.

Colorado State (39), (31) at Colorado (7), (6) Saturday, 1:00 PM ET
Final Score: Colorado State, 19-14
CSU QB Bradlee Van Pelt ran for a 23-yard touchdowns run with six minutes to play and then watched as his defense to hold as Colorado QB Craig Ochs's last gasp pass was dropped on the one-yard line. Colorado's offense was non-existent at times scoring one of its two touchdowns on a punt return for a score by Jeremy Bloom. CSU RB Cecil Sapp ran for two first half scores.

Virginia at Florida State (5). (5) Saturday 3:30 PM ET Final: Florida State, 40-19
Florida State jumped out to a 23-0 halftime lead as Greg Jones and Chris Rix each ran for a touchdown.  The Noles came out strong for the second half as Jones ran for a 5-yard score. Virginia didn't get its first points until the fourth quarter as Heath Miller caught an 11-yard TD pass from Matt Schaub. The Cavs scored 19 fourth quarter points, but there was never any fear of an Iowa State-like comeback.

Auburn (28), (27) at USC (20), (19) Monday 8:00 PM ET Final: USC 24-17
USC QB Carson Palmer capped off a 8:39 drive with sneak for a TD late in the fourth quarter to break a 17-17 tie in an entertaining, but sometimes sloppy game. Auburn RB Carnell Williams ran for 94 yards and a touchdown in but was shut down in the second half suffering from a slight ankle injury, cramps and a USC defense keyed on stopping him. Palmer threw for 302 yards and a touchdown and David Davis hit field goals of 37 and 39 yards.

UAB at Florida (6), (7) Saturday 6:00 PM ET Final Score: Florida, 51-3
There might be a new ball coach and new players at many positions, but the results are still the same. WR Taylor Jacobs set the school-single game record for receiving with a 237-yard performance. RB Earnest Graham ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries helping the Gators roll up 643 yards of total offense. UAB was outgained 410 yards to 90 through the air and got its only points in the third quarter on a 32-yard field goal.

Clemson (37), (38) at Georgia (8), (12) Saturday 7:45 PM ET Final Score: Georgia, 31-28
Clemson PK Aaron Hunt's 46-yard FG attempts came up just short and Georgia was able to run out the clock in one of the more exciting games of the young season. Down 28-21, Georgia outscored Clemson 10-0 in the 4th quarter as Terrence Edwards tied the game on a 24-yard TD pass and PK Billy Bennett put up the winning score with a 49-yard field goal. The game was highlighted by big plays as Georgia's Fred Gibson took a 2nd quarter kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown while Clemson's Nick Eason took a fumble 60 yards for a score in the 3rd quarter.

MTSU (48), (U) at Alabama (29), (U) Saturday 12:30 PM ET Final Score: Alabama, 39-34
Alabama QB Tyler Watts threw for 191 yards and two scores as the Tide hung on for dear life as MTSU rallied late in the game with a five-yard Dwone Hicks touchdown run capping a 20 point fourth quarter. On the ensuing onside kick, Bama recovered and escaped. Up 32-27, Bama got a 41-yard interception return for a score late in the fourth quarter for what would be the winning points.

TCU at Cincinatti Monday 4:30 PM ET Final: Cincinatti 36-29
TCU controlled the game for three quarters and nine minutes taking a 29-14 lead on five Nick Browne field goals, a 42-yard TD pass to Reggie Holts and a 70-yard punt return for a score from Terran Williams. Then Cincinnati QB Gino Guidugli worked his magic leading the team on a drive culminating in a four-yard touchdown run, then throwing a 35-yard scoring strike to LaDaris Vann to pull to within two with 1:39 to play. Guidugli scored on a streak for the two point conversion to send the game into overtime. Guidugli then ran for a 14-yard TD in OT. The Bearcat D held on TCU's ensuing try.
