Are we going to fix the problem, or are we just going to continue putting up signs complaining about the problem?

It is time to awaken the sleeping lion!

Like it or not, we are in competition with the rest of the world. We have to take up the challenge and produce goods which we can export, better and cheaper than the competition.

This web site will show how Quality tools can help us to become Number One in the world.

My view is that within the Quality profession we have the necessary tools to achieve Zero Defects. We don't need to invent new tools and programs, we just need to relook at the way that we are applying our existing tools.

This web site has come about out of the research that I am conducting in order to support my thesis.

The starting point is a study of human nature. In these pages, I am trying to identify some common traits in humans. I use photos to inject a bit of humor, but the basic point is that we better understand human nature if we are to create effective quality systems.

The next section is puzzles. This is an extension of the previous section and shows some amazing optical illusions with some explanations about how they work.

The History of Quality, traces quality practices through the ages. it is fascinating to see that many of the practices that we consider to be on the cutting edge today were practiced thousands of years ago. Also through these pages I am trying to trace the point where the quality profession started to lose its way.

Management Principles is an attempt to document the principles that have emerged from the previous pages. Again the pictures illustrate my sense of humor, but don't forget the underlying message is serious.

Finally Design Quality has some tips and ideas about quality in design which I have collected over the years in my involvement in industry.
