6/26/05- J-Bop continued its improved play with a sweep over the Devils this week, improving their record to 13-5 on the year; easily their best start in team history. Benny was the hero, going 5-5 in Game 2 with 3 HRs and 7 RBI's. Benny's 3 HR's gave him 6 on the year and tied him for the team lead with John. James was also 5-5 with 5 runs scored. He currently leads the team in runs scored.
In Game 1, Jeff set a softball record with 4 strikeouts. He plans to sign the ball and sell it on Ebay. It was an all around good day for the Boppers. J-Bop hopes to keep up their solid play after the 4th of July break.
5/22/05- J-Bop swept a doubleheader against Sideline Grill this Sunday to improve to 6-2 on the season. It is their best start in the history of J-Bop Softball. J-Bop earned a hard fought victory in Game 1 winning a 14-12 game thriller. John hit 2 3-Run Hr's and had 8 RBI's to carry J-Bop to victory. In Game 2 John added another home run to increase his total to 3 for the doubleheader and 5 on the year. James also was a big contributor going 5-7 during the doubleheader with 5 runs scored. J-Bop hopes to continue its solid play next Sunday.
5/15/05- J-Bop dropped their first double header of the year, getting swept by the Brewers. They lost the first game 5-4 in heartbreaking fashion. With the go ahead run on base, James flied out to end the game. After the crushing defeat, J-Bop played uninspired softball in the second game losing 16-4. Poor defense and lack of timely hitting were the factors in the defeat. J-Bop hopes to return to their winning ways next Sunday.
