Quarter Mile Wins Despite My Absence
James and John hope their new team brings them new success
9/26/05-Quarter Mile caputred the summer league dart championship this past Wednesday despite my absence.  I have missed the last 3 weeks because I am away at graduate school.  Quarter Mile managed to win anyway.  I'm not sure against who because I wasn't there.

The team will have thier picture taken and a plaque will be put up in the bar celebrating our victory.  The team will be immortalized forever on the wall of the Quarter Mile bar.

Unfortunately with me being at school, I will not be able to compete in the Fall and Spring seasons.  Hopefully I will get to play a few games during Thanksgiving break. I will keep you updated anyway.

7/8/05-
The Quarter Mile dart team improved to 2-0 on the season when they defeated Brandy's Pub 13-8.  The game came down to a 601 matchup to determine the winner.  With both teams at an out, John Scarinci hit a double 1 to end the game and give Quarter Mile the victory.  James, who left O'Brien's mid season last year, says he couldn't be happier with his new team.  When asked about his thoughts on the Quarter Mile Dart Team, he simply said, "We're a whole new teeaaaaam!" Quarter Mile will go on the road next Thursday.  Be sure to come out and support them.

5/16/05-
In what has been a tumultuous season for James and John, the two dart players finally have some optimism.  James and John signed a one season deal with Quarter Mile in the Cross County League.  Both are excited about joining long time buddies Dean and Phil as teammates.  However, John did not say he was leaving O'Briens for good.  "Joining O'Briens again in the Fall is certainly not out of the question.  I just wanna give myself some options during the LIDA offseason."  John's decision should depend on how the upcoming summer season goes.

5/8/05-
In a surprising turn of events, James Phillipi has quit O'Briens with just a few weeks left, abandoning his teammate and friend John Scarinci.  Many speculate  that James was discouraged with the teams recent struggles as well as his own.  Others however believe that James is in talks to join another team next Fall.  Their are rumors he has been in talks with Dean Hartifilis, a member of the Quarter Mile dart team.  James refused to comment on this matter.
