Laura's Poetry!!!
Laura is a cool person I met a couple months ago at a Theatre Workshop that my drama club went to. And we've been talking online ever since. And she even went to see my play! How cool is that. She will forever be in my mind, a member if the cool club. Anyway. What makes her even more cool is that she agreed to share some of her poetry with me and pretty much the whole worlds now that it's on the web. I hope you all enjoy her poetry as much as I did.

                                    Arrival
The clock ticks, and the minutes creep.
Time seems to be tormenting me.
I have no sense of what is around me.
All I see is you, striding to me,
With bags, and your heart on your sleeve.
A tear in your eye and its twin in time.
Time's game is over, and we have won.

                      I am

I am who I want to                             I know who I am strong.
           I have a weakness.
I live, but I hold back.
I believe, but I have my doubts                        I love and I fear.
I hate, and I hold                        I hold on to all that I have left.
              The love from you.

                                                Minnasota Man

From so far away you moved for only a short time.
                                                  May we met.
                                                  June you left.
                                         July we became freinds.
                                        August we became more.
Thousands of measurements and judgements between us,
                                             and still you cared.
Tears of frustration, love, anger, fear, pity, and confusion,
fall in secret, invading the peace night.
They fall sun hot on my pillow, staining my dreams with your voice,
and the face of my Minnasota Man
                          Everything

Distance, money, time, people, and my past...
I let them all get in the way of us.
I focused on how I had been hurt before.
I didn't see the gift God sent me.
                    This gift was you.
Something opened my eyes and now I see...
                   You are everything

*sniffle* .......*sniffle*....... Take me back to the Writers Index.... *sniffle*

Sweet emotions keep running, and ripping through my soul.
Images of time's past, now, and those not yet made, flash before my eyes.
In them your face flashes, your voice sings and your arms open,
Causing me to fall deeply into the warm embrace of your love and devotion.

                                Missing

Now that I know  who you are.
Now that you have gone again.
                       I want near even more.
Your hand on mine, or on my shoulder.
Your body next to mine at the table, or in a pew.                 I will miss your smile, your eyes, and your presense
                          I miss your words...
                         I miss my other half.

Every word I say, you heard.
Every dream I share, you support.
Every dream I have, you help to grow.
Every day you seem to be even more important.
Every hopeyou have, I will help grow.
Every dream you share, I support.
Every word you say, I hear.

Upon what plain is this veil drawn?
The division of the two Worlds.
In moments of extreme blessing,
The veil is lifted and we are allowed to peek.
What Higher Power decides these moments?
How are we chosen to see the other side?
What gift is this?
