The Inverhaugh Cricket Club is a privately owned club based in the Hamlet of Inverhaugh, Ontario. The club was formed by Bart Singh and associates in 1995 with the motto Propter ludi amorem which translates as 'For the love of the game'
Inverhaugh Cricket Club is based in the Hamlet of Inverhaugh, located on the banks of the Grand River between Elora and Kitchener in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Directions from Guelph:
From the 401, follow signs for Highway 6 North (Exit 295)
Follow Highway 6 North to the T intersection,
Right turn on to Woodlawn Road,
First Left turn onto Silvercreek Parkway (Regional Road 39)
Left at the T intersection( Regional Road 51)
Take the first Right (Fourth Line E).
Turn left at the Stop sign (Fourth Sideroad).
Turn right at the T intersection, Regional Road 21 (Blondie's Restaurant on the right)
The cricket field is on the left.
Turn in the driveway marked "Cricket Parking" which has the Fire Number 7250

The Club is owned by Bart and Jan Singh, and plays on the turf wicket within their grounds. Membership of the club is achieved by personal interview with Bart and Jan. The price of membership is assistance with the maintenance of the facilities, which require 40 hours per week of intensive work. Tractors used on the field are supplied by MTD


The club plays approximately 26 friendly matches per season, as well as four of Junior matches. The club also competes in external tournaments (Philadelphia and Sarasota in recent years) as well as touring (St Lucia in 2004 and Jamaica in 2005). Visiting teams in 2004 included London Cricket Club, Caribbeancricket.com, MadDogs, British Officers Club, and Washington Masters. The 2005 Schedule included a match against Adastrians CC, and in 2006 hosted the Australian tourists "Colonials Behaving Badly" - see the Members Page for scorecards of the current season.

The club regularly plays against the Shaw Festival Cricket Team, and the Stratford Festival Team, as a 'warm up' act to the annual Shaw vs Stratford Match, and in 2004 an additional match was played on 21st June at Inverhaugh between the two sides, as a Fundraiser for the Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. This match raised, through sales of tickets, draws and silent action, a figure of $70,000 for the hospital. Photographs of the day may be seen here
