Places By Any Other Names?

          Depending on which map, sign, guidebook, etc. you are looking at, you are going to be faced with one of several spellings all referring to a common locus. As seen before with Tianmu, this is due to numerous systems of romanization being in effect, and the lack of a coherent standardized system. The following depicts several regions in Taiwan with one or more common variations. Those depicted in bold type are spelt using the Hanyu Pinyin system.
