Commentary - Strip 2

I don't know how I can bear to lay my eyes on this piece of drawing without getting excruciating stabbing pain in my eyes. The out-of-proportions figures, the lines that should have been drawn straight, the huge gaps big enough to drop an elephant through, etc etc. The list of self-critiques goes on and on. The point of this strip is to convey to readers the futility of the new PBL-based education system of training medical graduates. Perhaps the same for other faculties as well (I have heard ominous rumours of PBL being deployed elsewhere too!). People in med school are either damn intelligent or damn stupid such that their personal styles of learning wouldn't be changed in any way by PBL. I belong the the latter cohort. Plus, at the end of the day, we all know that humiliation is the gold standard for medical education.
