Parking Lot Safety
The school has a Parking Lot Safety Program in place which was developed since 1999-2000 with the idea of utilizing drop-off zones. It is within these "zones" that the students are the safest. The zones are on the Lemos and Las Palmas sides of the school and are well defined as drop-off and pick-up areas. Please be aware that there is no parking in these zones. We ask that you do not leave your vehicle there. If your child is not present in the waiting area, please drive around the loop and re-enter the line. We understand that for the first few days, parents will want to walk their children to the classrooms. The gravel area across from the baseball field is available for your use. Please pull in, drive to the left, and park aiming toward the field. All striped and paved parking areas are reserved for teachers and staff. There are three spaces available for short term office visits. The Gomes Parking Lot Safety Team appreciates your continued cooperation in its quest to make our lots safe for all of our children.
Remember the rule for the Pick-up/Drop-off lane in the lots:
Cars need to keep moving through and not wait in the lane for children to arrive.
