What is it?

It started life in 1987 as a diesel Land Rover 90 hard top.:

Suspension

Front - HBE white springs
Rear - HBE red springs
Bilstein dampers front and rear and Bilstein steering damper.
Anti roll bars front and rear.
Red polybushes to front axle original Land Rover black bushes to rear.

Braking

AP Racing 4 piston alloy calipers front and rear (ex Land Rover France, spare set from a Paris-Daker racer).
Front discs - vented and grooved 310mm diameter x 32mm wide
Rear discs - vented and grooved 310mm diameter x 25mm wide
Tilton bias controller, lever type mounted next to the hand brake, 7 position.
Brake hoses are braided stainless steel throughout.

Wheels

17" Preditor alloy wheels, 8 x 17H2 all round,
with locking wheel nuts.

Tyres

Pirelli Scorpion Zero 285 x 60 R17.

Other bits

Bettaweld internal roll cage.
Genuine dog guard with gun rack.
Discovery spare wheel carrier.
Fabricated air scoop on bonnet.
Alloy door handles, window winders and gear knob.
Alloy steering guard.
Adjustable tow hitch.
Recovery hitch on heavy duty front bumper.
Battery cut out switch in passenger footwell
CD player with electric aerial and speakers mounted in the back.

Performance


Lovely to burble around town at 2000 rpm, and then takes off at 4-5000rpm.
Maximum speed - unknown, but very capable of an indicated 100mph on a private road and still pulling. Acceleration - measured at 8.15 seconds to 60mph - quick enough to surprise a few people and apparently quite loud too -
