1/16/2000: Well, it's the first day of school, and here I am, finally working on the web site after one of the most painful defeats in NFL history... Is it Team Fascination that I speak of, or the lowly Vikings? You be the judge... Congratulations, Damin Wellenstein, and Aaron Voyles, who took hold of the reins the last couple weeks of the season and put me in my place. Another third place for Wan. 11/30/2000: Back again. I was doing a little math in my football spreadsheet, and I found out some interesting facts that people might want to know. Who has scored the most points this season, in terms of our scoring system? Well, at the top of the list is my defense, the Ravens, with 4581 points. Second place? Daunte Culpepper with 4417! Third place? Peyton Manning with 4169. Most points by a non-defense, non-quarterback? Edgerrin James, 3666. I didn't compute any averages (for like, injured players, and whatnot). Just thought this might be of interest. Note to Voyles: Rich Gannon didn't even make the top ten.
11/30/2000: The word on the street is, Aaron Voyles had a pretty nice week. Couldn't take a shit without this fact being somehow related to me, in one way or another. Now it is pretty much a horserace to the finish, and I give Rich, Boyles, Dr. Wellenstein, and myself acceptable odds to finish in first. Announcement: Kurt Warner has returned. Repeat, Kurt Warner has returned. Where can I pick up the prize money?
11/24/2000: Well, well, well... Turkey day is gone, and so is the notion that Rich Crandall is perpetually in last place... Rich rocketed to third place this week, displacing the Gruesome Twosome in a single leap. However, bridging the 1500 point gap between second and third might proove difficult... Let the games begin, and whatnot... 11/17/2000: Hey, sports fans, scoring has been finalized, and there is only one change in the standings - I am no longer in first... Regrettable, but a fact of life. The king is dead. Long live the king. Congratulations, Damin, but can my quarterbacks be smited forever? Tune in next week to find out...
11/10/2000: Scoring has been finalized, and it looks like it is Damin and Wan duking it out for first place this weekend... Rich pulled out of the cellar, only to be replaced by our trusty commish, Dr. Mueller... Transactions haven't quite been communicated to me yet, but I know of one - a big deal involving the two Royalton boys... See their respective press releases here and here... On a related note, please don't be shy about submitting stuff for the webpage... I can't guarantee promptness, or anything else for that matter, but still, feel free to send me shit...
11/3/2000: Scoring has been finalized for week 9, and Damin has slid into second place... Will the loss of Kurt Warner permanently jeopardize Wan's run for the cup? Brian Griese says "no", but tune in next week to find out if Boyles of Damin can steal first place... By the way, transactions will be up as soon as I talk to Mueller... The tacit transactions have been posted on the transactions page, however...
10/29/2000: Vikings lose, Packers lose, Gophers lose... Is there nothing holy? Well, it looks like it is Voyles, Wan, and Dr. Damin making a run for first place this week... Despite the fact that not having Kurt Warner was clearly not a factor. Top quarterback for the week? SHAUN KING! DJEAH! Much to my own chagrin, of course...
10/27/2000: Official scoring has been dealt with, and everything is kosher... Looks like the league is poised to get changed around a little bit... My Warner-dependence is going to be put to the test, and Rich is probably going to be the big benefactor. Things are so bad, I am starting Shaun King this week... Eddie George out? Things are super-weird.. Voyles is in second place, for crying out loud...
10/24/2000: Well, looks like Dr. Boyles is the big winner this week, no matter what happens... Am I wrong? Preliminary scoring has been wrapped up, and I am in DEAD FUCKING LAST. However, my beloved Vikings are in a situation quite contrary to my own, for there is only ONE undefeated team in all of pro football, and it is NOT the Rams... Thank you...
10/19/2000 - Scoring night has been completed, transactions have been processed, and everything is fine and dandy, except for the fact that my lead is slipping... But in any case, the website has been altered to reflect these changes, and the new standings have been finalized... I changed the scoring page so it is a lot easier to read, so check it out, it has every single player in the league and their score... One last thing... From now on, if you want a trade to be final, BOTH parties much contact either Mark or me on transaction night, and then it is FINAL.
10/17/2000 - SCORING NIGHT IS WEDNESDAY, for everyone who hasn't heard... Preliminary scoring has been completed, and it looks like Damin Wellenstein is the big winner this week. Voyles actually turned in a lineup early and had the luck of picking up the Steelers defense the week before they make a showing... Buncha crap. Talk about a week of high-scoring. I think everyone pretty much did okay, and everyone but Wan scored above their average... On another note, MJ didn't turn in a lineup, which is fine with me, since he probably would have won if he had turned it in... By the way, no one has emailed me yet...
10/14/2000 - Watching the Gopher game (Gophers 23, Ohio State 10) and doing some work on the web page... I put in the dollar amount that has been paid in for transactions for each individual, and during each week. I also fixed a couple of stupid errors and misspellings, and whatnot. Moved the weekly scoring from the top of the personal pages to the bottom, so we can actually see the roster without scrolling down for half an hour... Similarly, the old news will be moved down to the bottom of the page so we can see the standings on the front page, and the links to other stuff without having to scroll down... Just a note, scoring night was moved back to WEDNESDAY. So, have all transactions ready to go by WEDNESDAY.
9/27/2000 - The scoring has been finalized, and posted on the web as of this morning. The winner? ME! That's right, ME! From second to last, to first, in the span of one week. I'm sorry for flying so high about this, but I had pretty much expected to be sitting around in second to last all season, and this is quite a little surprise... But enough of that nonsense... Transactions will be posted later today (from last week - the ones from last night just aren't going to get posted anytime soon...). If Luke or Ricardo or anyone finally checks out this site, HOWDY...
9/19/2000 - The scores were just finalized, and the winner has been selected. Congratulations to the winner. Blah blah blah. One note - scoring night is now TUESDAY night, which means you also have to have your waivers in by TUESDAY. Sorry for any inconvenience.
9/18/2000 - Just scored all the Sunday games, and holy snot, no Indianapolis and no Tennessee! Oh, and Luke, I fixed your score... Jive?

9/11/2000 - Just finished the preliminary scoring - this doesn't include Monday Night, of course, and is not official until the commissioner's meeting on Wednesday. However, it is pretty clear that one Aaron Voyles is going to walk away this week's winner. The irony is quite clear - due to the horrendous play of his beloved Chicago Bears, the Tampa Bay Bucs Defense won him the week.
9/8/2000 - Mark Mueller is going out of town (he left yesterday) so all the lineups will have to come through John Borchert. To refresh everyone's memory (because they obviously don't remember his number, because they never call), the number is 612-617-9238. You can leave your lineups on the answering machine if there is no person to talk to. Also, the lineups MUST be in before the noon Sunday game. Gracias.
9/6/2000 - You MUST contact either Mark Mueller or John Borchert before Wednesday regarding whether or not you have waiver moves to make. If you don't, attempts will be made to contact you, but if those attempts fail, you will lose your turn.
9/6/2000 - Scoring was finalized tonight, and the results are posted on each team's respective web page, as well as on the standings page. Congratulations go out to Mark Mueller for having Duce Staley. Additionally, transactions were transacted, and they are on the transactions page. I am also putting up my master scoring results, in order of points scored up here.
8/31/2000 - Hey, y'all, I just finished this motherfucker, and there are probably a ton of mistakes, and there will probably be a ton of mistakes all year, so when you find one, why don't you just email me and I will fix them. Also, you can email me stories or "talkin' shit" articles to post on your page. Suggestions will be accepted and implemented, freetime not withstanding.
