Introduction

This course will help you take the first step towards a career in IT. You'll build your knowledge of a wide range of software from desktop publishing to graphic design, giving you an excellent foundation in core software.

Units include:

• The uses and application of computers in the workplace
• The configuration of the desktop
• Digital devices
• Using spreadsheets and PowerPoint
• Design software
• Imaging and multimedia software
• Using the internet and email
• Desktop publishing and word processing.

Assessment

You'll be assessed through written and practical exams and coursework.

Entry Requirements

Three GCSEs in relevant subjects or other related qualifications and experience.

Next Steps
