. I have a double major major in Psychology and Communications with a minor in English Literature. It is my plan to return to school to study either Speech Pathologist, Psychology, or English as a Second Language.My best experiences in teaching so far, have been in Puerto Rico. In August of 2002, I went to Puerto Rico to complete some pre-student teaching. I worked with the head of the English department at Lorenzo Vizcarrando High School which is located in Carolina, Puerto Rico. I learned that kids might not trust you at first, but if you so them that you really are there to help, you will gain their trust. I was able to help students who barely knew any English; it was a truly rewarding experience. After finishing my degree, I returned to Puerto Rico to teach from 2005-2007. I taught at a private school called Academia Menonita. I was able to push students to excel beyond the normal high school curriculum. Puerto Rico has been the most fulfilling place to work with students thus far.
My travels and time in the National Guard are two experiences that can compare to teaching in Puerto Rico. I was in the National Guard for six years. My Basic training was at Fort Dix, New Jersey and my AIT schooling was at Fort Lee, Virginia. I served in a Quartermaster unit for 4 years. Then I become a Personnel Records Specialists. My schooling for this was at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. I also completed a two-week leadership course at Camp Ashland in Nebraska.

. In July of 2003 we got married and she moved to Michigan with me. After having a baby girl, we moved to Puerto Rico. We lived there for about two years. I loved living there, but you don't make enough money to support yourself. We have now been living in Virginia since the beginning of 2007.For all of you who are thinking about meeting someone online, I can say that it does actually work. I met my beautiful wife on lavalife, a personals website. We chatted for some time on yahoo, then I eventually flew down to meet her and her family. I also have two friends who met their wives on the internet. If you are both honest about who you are, you can actually get to know each other, and fall in love on the internet.
