Toronto. My main objective for going to Toronto was to see the Hockey Hall of Fame. While visiting I got to meet some people that live in Toronto. Overall the people from Toronto are very friendly. I also got to see a lot of the wonderful city while there. Toronto is packed with pleanty of pubs and other attractions that will keep you buisy throughout the night.
I learned about some interesting places in Detroit in 2001. Though I had been to the Toledo Zoo many times, I had never been to the Detroit Zoo. My fiancee convinced me to go because she wanted to see the new Polar Bear exhibit. I have to admit that after going, I quite enjoyed the Detroit Zoo.
I also went to the Detroit Institute of Arts for the first time in December of 2001 with my fiancee. I had no idea that there were so many other museums around the Detroit Institute of Arts. Though there is so much to see there, our favorite painting at the Detroit Institute of Arts is by William Adolphe Bourguereau, called The Nut Gatherers.
Though I enjoy culture and history, I love Amusement parks. One of my favorite places to go is Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. It's called the roller coaster park for a good reason. Cedar Point has some of the biggest, fastest, and best rollar coasters in the world. Besides roller coasters, they have many other rides and events to see. In my opinion Cedar Point is the best place to go for a good time with family and friends. I make it my personal mission to go to Cedar Point every year.
Besides Cedar Point, there is one event that I try to attend every year. It is The Michigan Renaissance festival in Holly Michigan. It is held every year in August and September. The whole festival is centered around the Renaissance era. There are many shops throughout the festival where you can buy clothes, swords, charms and many other things. They also have lots of activities you can participate in, and a main arena where jousting takes place as well as other competitions.
