1:1 Scale Racing

In real life, I spend my weekends teaching high performance driving for several regions of the Porsche Club of America, BMW Club of America, and Track Time Inc.

At the track I drive a Black 84' 911 Coupe. I get to drive such cars as Corvettes, Porsches, BMW's, Vipers, Muscle cars, and whatever else a student might bring to the track.

During the course of a year I get to tracks such as Waterford Hills, Grattan Raceway, Gingerman Raceway, Michigan Speedway (both the oval and road course), Road America, Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen, and more

I also manage to attend a few Cart, Vintage, and Trans Am races. While I will go to the support races for NASCAR, I hate the big crowds and stay away from the Main Event. For the last two years I've attended the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway and I plan to attend the USGP at Indy this year.

Cars I've owned include a 1967 Buick GS 400 4 speed, 86 Buick T Type Turbo, Honda CRX si, Oldsmobile Acheiva SCX, Porsche 914, Porsche 911 Coupe. Depending on the car, I have either restored them to stock or modified them to be real fast !! The CRX had mods to make it a great autocrosser and track car. The Buick I restored to stock (well almost... it had Stage One parts in the motor :-)) and the 911 has exhaust, suspension, brake, and safety mods.

Slot cars fill the void of competition during the off season.
