THANKS FOR VISITING!

"Tell Me Why": The answer page!
From Piscesboy, Aug.21 2000: "I was thinking the Artifacts set might be a good bet, but rather than waste a fortune, I thought I'd ask you chaps first..."

All right, we've been called chaps... well, IMHO, the Artifacts 1 and 2 box sets are pretty all inclusive... except for the sound quality, which is rather hit and miss at times (NOTE: Ive only heard a friends copy, I have NO Beatles boots o' my own. Anyone care to remedy that?) Anyway, my action would be to try, if you can, to download some tracks instead, or at least listen to some of the usual source material before you buy. The direction I send you, grasshopper, is toward www.welcome.to/the_goldmine
which is really loaded with great stuff. But don't tell 'em I sent you! Thanks for the question, John.
NOTE: The above link was abolished days after me posting it! Hope you got to it in time!!

From Jez Thursfield, Aug.23,2000:
Did Paul write, as well as produce, Mary Hopkins "Those Were The Days"?
Though he probably wishes he did (and may own the rights), This early Apple single is actually a very old song, possibly Italian in origin. Still, it's a loverly song every one should check out. Paul did, of course, write Mary's next single, "Goodbye". UPDATE: What a dumb answer! Why did I think that someone other than Gene Raskin wrote that? And also, it's Russian in origin, Raskin merely rewrote the lyrics. THERE!!

I'm taking the chance here to plug the new Hotlinks page. It's more of the same, but looks new and improved. And as for the NEW NewsStand page? I don't have all that much time, mates!! Anyhow, write us and tell us!
