8. How Do I Start An Action In Singapore To Claim Money Owed To Me?
Answer - To start an action in Singapore, you must first look at how much money is owed to you. If the amount of money owed to you is less than S$250,000, you should start your action in the Subordinate Courts. For amounts above S$250,000, you must start your action in the High Court. To start your action, you should first issue a letter of demand. If the debtor does not respond to this letter, then you can file a Writ of Summons in the appropriate Court.
