I dreamed a dream
When I was naive,
that when it came to love,
Nothing would deceive.

I dreamed a dream
about my first kiss,
A kiss from a prince
That would cause eternal bliss.

I dreamed a dream
For the longest time,
Waiting for Romeo or Casanova,
The one who would be mine.

Then one day, he came.
The boy I wanted to call my name.

Now I feel
my dreams were ignored:
My kiss was not one
that left me floored.

Now, the dream I dream
is one that the next will be
all it was meant to be.
Once again,
A kiss to make me happy.
