What I found out was much different than what I had been told.
It turns out that there is really a test that a man named James Randi has. And there is a prize of one million dollars for any psychic who can relly do psychic things. The only catch is that the psychic has to do what she says she can do, and the test has to be set up so that there can be no cheating. You can see Mr. Randi's web site here. If you go to that web site, you will see that for a very long time Mr. Randi has been waiting for Sylvia Browne to take the test, which she promised she would do. She made that promise on the Larry King television program.
So it turns out that I was told wrong. I was told that Sylvia took the test and passed, and Mr. Randi wouldn't pay the money. The truth turns out that Sylvia Browne promised to take the test, and won't. Somebody was trying to make me believe that Mr. Randi was going back on his word. But the truth is that it is Sylvia Browne who is going back on her word!
Now I understand why the other Sylvia Browne people got so mad at me when I asked a question about this test. They don't want people to know the truth!
I also learned that Sylvia Browne is so afraid of taking Mr. Randi's test that for a while on her web site, she had an accusation that Mr. Randi has sex with children! That is what finally did it for me. To make an accusation like that is not very nice. And I don't think it is very "spiritual" which is what Sylvia Browne claims to be.
It looks like Sylvia Browne never will take Mr. Randi's test, although she promised she would. And she sounds like a very hateful person to me.
