| A very cruel trick I have learned about. | |||
| In the message board where the Sylvia Browne people were rude to me, there was one person (who wasn't rude to me--I want to make that clear) who wrote about a reading she and her mother got from a psychic. This person had a brother who died some time ago. She and her mother were told about a psychic who would put them in contact with the boy. It was a friend who told them about the psyhcic. This person said that it must have been the real thing because the psychic knew about her mother's bad shoulder. While I was researching Sylvia Browne, I discovered that this is a common trick, and not very nice at that. A "friend" will tell somebody about a psychic, hoping that the person would go to the psychic to get a reading. When the person goes to the psychic, the psychic will say some thing that make it seem like the psychic knows what couldn't have been known. The trick is that the "friend" told the psychic the details, and the psychic uses that. That convinces the person getting the reading that the psychic is real. The fact is though that the friend and the psychic are in on it together, and the "friend" gets some of the money that is given to the psychic. I certainly don't think much of "friends" like that, who help psychics cheat people out of their money. But this happens, and people should know what is going on. Their "friend" is really stealing money from them with this very cruel trick. |
