Episode 54: Tessaiga's Ultimate Attack, Bakuryuuha

Dodging attack after attack, Inuyasha is slammed into the side of the canyon. He recovers quickly before trying to slice through Ryuukotsusei again, failing miserably. Landing on the ground, Inuyasha notices that he can smell the Kaze No Kizu, and it is surrounding Tessaiga. Ryuukotsusei sends yet another attack, and Inuyasha uses Kaze No Kizu, which causes part of the canyon to collapse on Ryuukotsusei. Everyone is exited about the lightning youkai's defeat, however it is to early to celebrate. Inuyasha stares in awe as Ryuukotsusei rises again, taunting as he does so. The lightning youkai prepares to send a final attack, Toutousai practically begs Inuyasha to run away from the battle, which of course he refuses to do.

This attack is much stronger than any of the others that he had been sending, as Ryuukotsusei is fighting for real this time. Inuyasha is excited, thinking that if he can finally defeat this youkai that he will be able to surpass his father in power. Inuyasha attempts to cut the lightning attack, he accidentally performs Bakuryuuha. The attack severs Ryuukotsusei's body into many many pieces, scattering to the wind created by the Tessaiga.

The gang is thrilled that Inuyasha finally defeated Ryuukotsusei, and then Toutousai explained that Bakuryuuha is when the Kaze No Kizu gets mixed up with a youki and causes a counter flow. The tangled up Kaze No Kizu and youki bounce back on the enemy, so essentially the enemy is attacked by a combination of the Kaze No Kizu and their own youki.

Kagome and the others are so happy that they all compliment Inuyasha on his defeat, which in turn causes him to become a slight more arrogant than normal. He's more exited about the fact that he can now use the Kaze No Kizu whenever he wants, and proves it by destroying part of the canyon. However, his fun is short lived when he ends up with a big fat, Osuwari.
