| The car looked very nice but the engine let it down, so I decided to clean the engine up a bit, but you know how it goes one thing led to another and before I knew it I'd got it all stripped down to just the block! So I thought I may as well recondition the whole lot. Here you can see the block on the bench in the workshop, all new insides, painted up and new 1641cc barrel and pistons. |
| The finished project, all nice and yellow with all the chrome extras (I'm not looking forward to cleaning that lot!!). So with a new 1641cc engine I've added twin 34 ICT carbs, the oil cooler is an external one fitted on the side near the front. I'm really pleased with the end result and many thanks must go to my two brothers, Jeff and Jason, for all their help. |
