On Saturday June 14 several members of the PSNEA volunteered at the
A.K.C. Educational Out Reach Event in Hillsboro Oregon. The day offered
spectators an opportunity to visit the over 30 club booths and meet
dogs of many breeds. The PSNEA booth offered hand outs, promoted our
rescue program and had club members available to answer questions. The
event was held in conjunction with the Cascade hound show which also
offered an obedience and rally fun match. The PSNEA also hosted an
Elkhound social and potluck and invited local Elkhound owners and their
dogs to join club members for a picnic held on the grounds. We had a
wonderful turn out with about 30 people in attendance and 17 Elkhounds.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious potluck and spent the afternoon visiting and
sharing stories about their dogs. We have had very positive feed back
from many of our guests and hope to make this an annual event. Pictures are included
below.
