Grand Junction, Colorado, is located 250 miles from Denver as well as Salt Lake City, Utah. Short day trips to Glenwood Springs, Aspen and Ouray, or the Arches of Moab and the Black Canyon of the gunnison are all interesting drives.
The city itself is the heart of the Grand Valley. It is home to Mesa State College, the Grand Junction Symphony, The Westen Colorado Center for the Arts, the Museum of Western Colorado, the Botanical Gardens, Cross Orchards Living Historical Farms,the children's Doo Zoo Learning Museum, several golf courses, parks, pools, and other community and recreational facilities.
