Here is my dedication to my three wonderful cats - Cyrano, Gretchen and Quilt.  Cyrano is five years old and Gretchen and Quilt, sisters, are three years old.

Cyrano

The main muffin of the house.  He is such a ham and so photogenic, I've been told many times that he should be a model.  Cyrano loves to cuddle and takes every opportunity he can to cuddle up with his favorite yellow afghan that was knitted by my Grandma.  He can be a bit of a shit sometimes and he really likes to make Gretchen miserable when he can.  He has a fondness for catnip and comes running when he hears the container opening.  I love him dearly and he seems to have captured the hearts of everyone who has met him.

Gretchen

My big Diva.  She is so sexy and voluptuous, and knows it.  It is very rare that she lets anyone near her besides me.  She can be very skittish but once she decides that you're ok, it's forever.  She loves to cuddle under the blankets with me and worships heat.  During winter, she sits on the heat register in the living room until almost thermo nuclear, then sits on the sofa until she cools down and goes back to the register again..  Her and I are so incredibly close.

Quilt

What can I say about "Crazy Quilt"?  She still looks very much like a kitten, very petite and she talks so much, it's incredible.  Her favorite place in the world to sleep is in her 'tuna can', a can made out of foam and covered in fun fur.  Every so often she'll short circuit.  She gets this twitch in her ears and then runs all over the apartment like the devil is on her tail.  You will never see Quilt sitting on someone's knee, but every so often she'll sit next to you on the blue chair or climb behind you while you sit on the balcony.

Happy Cat Haven

A private, non-profit shelter for needy cats on the Sunshine Coast, run by and located in the home of Violet Winegarden.  Violet has converted her whole house to an animal haven and in the six years since she has started keeping records, has taken in over 1,500 cats.  This is where we adopted Gretchen and Quilt from.

Animal Advocates

An all volunteer registered charitable organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals that official agencies will not help.  Located in West Vancouver.
