help

If you are experiencing domestic violence and are considering leaving home, it will be helpful to you if you could take the following items, but remember that your safety is the most important thing and never put yourself at risk. It may be useful to keep such items in a bag packed and kept in a safe place where it cannot be found.

benefit books/bank cards and details

door key

a form of identification (passport, medical card, birth certificate etc)

any medication you are taking

money and a few clothes

child's favourite toy

Some helpful web sites for you to look at may include West Midland Police, Women's Aid, and the Citizens Advice Bureau.

If you are in need of urgent accommodation, please contact the Women's Aid National Helpline on 08457 023468. If you need further help and support, please leave your contact details in the comments page or email us at
