OPERATIONS

Operations of the WVRR consist of several local switch turns, commuter trains, and interchange trains.  The railroad operates regularly Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. 

FREIGHT TRAINS:

WR-1/RW-2: This is the Ringwood Industrial Park switch job.  Called at 6AM, it works the industrial park Monday through Friday.

WB-1/BW-2: This is the transfer run to the NYS&W at Butler.  Called at 9AM, it works south to the NYS&W yard at Butler and returns to Wanaque.

WC-1/CW-1: This is the through train from Wanaque to Croxton Yard.  Called at 12PM, it runs from Wanaque north to Suffern and then down the NJT Bergen County Line to Croxton Yard and returns to Wanaque.

WP-1/PW-1: This the through train from Wanaque to Port Jervis Yard.  Called at 10 AM it runs from Wanaque north to Suffern and then runs west via the EL Southern Tier Line to Port Jervis Yard and returns to Wanaque.

PASSENGER TRAINS
:

No. 1:
This is the northbound coach connection to the EL Delaware Limited at Suffern.  The crew is called at 6AM for an 8AM departure from Wanaque.

No. 2:
This is the southbound coach connection from the EL Delaware Limited.  The crew is called at 3PM for a 5PM departure from Suffern. 

The commuter schedule operates on an hourly basis between 5 AM and 10 AM and again between 3 PM and 8 PM daily between Wanaque and the NJT Mountain View Station.
