| The Wanaque Valley RR provides N-scale service to the northern NJ and southern NY region of the New York metropolitan area. Built on the roadbed of the abandoned Erie Lackawanna Greenwood Lake Branch, the WVRR has returned rail service to a region that has not seen rail service since 1966. Headquartered in Wanaque, NJ, the WVRR provides both freight and passenger service. The WVRR is a branch of the Erie Lackawanna RR, and connects with the New York, Susquehanna, and Western RR, and New Jersey Transit, offering a wide variety of freight and passenger routing options. For railfan and civic organizations, special excursions and private charters are also available, utilizing the WVRR's fleet of Erie Lackawanna passenger equipment. |
