This is part of the main operations room.  I took this picture the night before I left, at about 1:40 a.m. (ok, I cheated - the clock shows the time).  When I got back to the states, I joined the ranks of those who were amazed to see trees again after a year - I kept staring at them as I took the bus from McGuire Air Force base to the airport in Philadelphia.

The whole experience in Iceland seemed almost surreal to me and, oddly enough, although I had a less-than-wonderful time in Iceland I would like to go back someday (just to visit, though).  I doubt that I ever will, though...
