Rockville NYI

This is part of the Consolidated Open Mess (the base bar).  The booth in the left part of this picture is the disc jockey booth.  I was one of Rockville's "disk jockeys," though I think I only spoke once to make a song dedication.   Eventually, the plan was to pipe the audio from this booth into each building and have it become the site "radio station."  Because of our budget, that was still in the works when I left in 1982.

We also had a site cable TV station that I managed and which was little more than a couple of VCRs hooked up to a video amplifier.  The station played 2 movies each night and, if I remember correctly, 3 or 4 on the weekends (they were then repeated).  Unfortunately, although I had many plans for this TV station nothing really got off the ground until after I left (just like with the radio station).
