Here's our name for the dinghy. We're going to order a sticker with the boat name along with stickers
for the registration numbers. The numbers are issued by the Colorado Parks Department and take 2 to 4 weeks to be returned to you.
The 'Lil Drifter will be registered as a Homebuilt Class 1 Vessel, for a fee of $25.25.
I found several boat lettering web sites. The one I like best is
Cap'n John's Boat Lettering.
After we had all of our parts cut and sanded we were ready to really get started.
We taped the 2 bottom panels together and marked the locotions to drill the 1/8" holes
3/8" in from the edge, spaced every 4 inches.

The bottom panels get stitched on all four sides.

We tie wrapped the bottom seam loosley so it would be able to unfold later, then set it aside.

Hole locations on the transom and bow were made by lining up with the hull and bottom
parts and transfering the location. It all lined up perfectly on assembly.
OK, here we go!!

I tie wrapped the hull sides to the mid-frame.

Then we bent the hull sides around the bow transom, tie wrapped, and did
the same at the rear. Then the front and rear seat frames were tie wrapped in place.
So far so good. It was kind of late at that point (notice our 4 year old sleeping on the couch up above),
so we knocked off for the day.
