Today I went to the local lumber yard they were closed. Oh well. Have to catch them some time during the week. I did go home and order everything I need to build this boat except the wood. There is no local source for everything I needed so I used three different on-line vendors. I live on the Western Slope of the Continental Divide in Colorado so local shopping is limited. We buy a lot of stuff on-line.

First I logged onto boatbuilercentral.com and ordered:
Marine Epoxy 1.5 Gallon Kit - $75.50
Glass tape 9oz 4" X 50 yards - 29.75
Expanding Foam 4 cubic feet - 54.00
Wood flour 2 lbs - 10.00
Shipping - 28.00
Total - 198.05

Then I went to Boat Bandit for paint.
1 Quart Pettit Easypoxy Bikini Blue - $26.95
1 Quart Pettit Easypoxy Pearl Gray - 26.95
1 Quart Pettit 12120 Thinner - 14.95
Shipping - 11.44
Total - 80.29

Then I got 400 cable ties from buycableties.com for $10.00 plus 6.41 shipping for a total of 16.41.

That makes my total so far -
Plans - $49.00
Glue n' Glass - $198.05
Paint and thinner - $80.29
Cable ties - $16.41
Total - $343.75

I think I'm going to be a little over budget by the time I get my motor and oars.

At least I have my wifes 100% support. That's good because I'm going to need her help. This will definitely be a family project.
