The plans have arrived. They were a little intimidating at first. I'm glad I took drafting in college, it helped.
But after a couple hours study I think I can do this. I'm really motivated to use the end result!
The plans were very complete. They include 14 different items.
1.) Instructions and Bill of Materials - 9 sheets, 8 � X 11
2.) The Sprit Rig Notes - 3 sheets, 8 � X 11
3.) Typical stitch and glue construction details - 1 sheet 8 � X 11
4.) Stitch and glue boat building - 9 double sided sheets 8 � X 11
5.) Dagger board, Trunk, Rudder, and Tiller details - drawing 11 X 17
6.) Stitch and glue procedure - drawing 24 X 36
7.) Side, bottom, bow, transom, frames: dimensions and nesting - drawing 24 X 36
8.) Prameke Concept - drawing 11 X 17 (this is the one to show your friends what you're up to!)
9.) Plan views and sail plans - drawing 24 X 36
10.) Full size patterns - sides and bottoms - 36 X 48
Hey wait a second! How can a full size pattern of the sides and bottom be on a sheet of paper 36 by 48 inches?
Well, they are "tiled", or split into sections with the different parts drawn with different type of lines and
overlaid on top of one and another. If you think that sounds confusing you should lay your eyes one of these puppies.
But after about 5 minutes study it kind of gelled in my cranium and I understood it.
