You are a human being.
You are here for a number of years and your assignment is to:-

1. Find someone to love.

2. Love them.

Find: this can be done by active effort or, someone might find you, or by 'fate'. It may happen without any conscious effort on your part. It might even happen without one being aware it has.

someone: someone can be almost anyone. It could be a romantic relationship but can also be a child, parent, friend, neighbour. It can be a 'loving' relationship or even seem to be an unfriendly relationship. It could even be someone you don't like but will be more pleasant if you do. Either way it will be very challenging. Love is not easy or always joyful. This is the great challenge. In fact the more difficult it is the more learning is accomplished.

Love: This is a very active, fluid, on going process. Love is essentially a relationship. It is not purely romantic, giddy or gay. It can be very difficult, trying and exasperating. Hence everyone is given a lifetime to work on it. Love is a journey and not an end. It never ends and is never finished. It never fails although it may seem to. Rather than fail it only lies dormant or in limbo until it is revitalized again. You can invigorate it. The more you love yourself the more love you have for others and vice versa.

The people in your life are not there by chance,

If they are beautiful, generous and kind it is because
you are beautiful, generous and kind.

If they are ugly, selfish and mean it is a reflection of
how much those qualities exist in you.

Keep an open mind

Keep an open heart

Alfie

What's it all about Alfie?
Is it just for the moment we live?
What's it all about
When you sort it out, Alfie?

Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?
And if only fools are kind, Alfie,
Then I guess it's wise to be cruel.
And if life belongs only to the strong,
Alfie

What will you lend on
An old golden rule?
As sure as I believe
There's a heaven above, Alfie,
I know there's something much more,
Something even non-believers can
Believe in.

I believe in love, Alfie,
Without true love we just exist, Alfie.
Until you found the love you've missed
You're nothing, Alfie.

When you walk let your heart
Lead the way
And you'll find love any day, Alfie,
Alfie.
