PeoplesRepublicOfCork
URL:  http://www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com
PeoplesRepublicOfCork is the only site you'll ever need to brighten up your day. Basically a complete parody of life in Cork City, it provides a much more laid back means of entertainment, with funny articles with a Cork perspective. Be sure to check out features such as the Cork dictionary and the Roy Keane Vs FAI shoot-em-up. Tis puore daysint biy!

PROC Forums
URL:  http://www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com/phpBB2/index.php
The PROC forums are home to over 3,000 people from around Cork, who regularly post about Cork (and non-Cork) issues. I am an active contributor on these forums, and if you wish to abuse (contact) me, I go by the username "jayl".

Cork Life Magazine
URL:  http://www.corklife.com
This website was in existence months before the first issue of Cork Life was published. This is an essential resource for anyone from Cork, or for anyone thinking of visiting Cork. Information on all the best hotels, restaurants, pubs and clubs are listed here.

The Irish (Cork) Examiner
URL:  http://www.examiner.ie
The Irish Examiner (previously The Cork Examiner) is definitely Ireland's best national broadsheet newspaper if you're from Cork. Despite its now national status, 70% of the articles have Cork bias attached to them. Be sure to read the small side columns which list news such as the 17 year old boy who was fined 50 euro for stealing 10 penny jellies in the local corner shop. Essential entertainment.

The Evening Echo
URL:  http://www.eecho.ie
The Evening Echo is Cork's leading tabloid newspaper. Most famous for d'Echo boy who sells the paper outside the GPO screaming "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHO!!!!EVENING ECHO!", this paper contains the most up-to-minute news about Cork City and County. It's available at approximately 3pm daily.

Red FM
URL:  http://www.redfm.ie
Red FM is Cork's newest (legal) radio station. Targeted at a younger audience, Red FM not only sports better shows than 96 FM, but there is also far less talk between tracks (with the except of Charlie Wolfe). DO listen to Stevie G (Black on Red, Saturday 7pm-10pm). DO NOT listen to Charlie Wolfe (ever!)

96 FM
URL:  http://www.96fm.ie
For the older generations, 96 FM may prove a better option than Red FM. Not a personal favourite of mine, however.

Cork Linux Users
URL:  http://cork.linux.ie
The Cork division of the Irish Linux Users' Group is a good starting point for any Corkonians interested in finding out about Linux/UNIX operating systems.

UCC
URL:  http://www.ucc.ie
UCC is the college at which I am presently studying. UCC is definitely the most beautiful college in Ireland. Just take a peek at the Quadrangle on a sunny day and you'll see the most picturesque building imaginable. The facilities at UCC are top class and the courses on offer are excellent.
